Mahalaxmi Saras 2026 Extended Till May 17 Following Public Demand; Immediate Decision by Maharashtra Rural Development Minister Jaykumar Gore

Mumbai:Mahalaxmi Saras 2026, currently being held at BKC, is receiving an overwhelming response from citizens across Mumbai. A large number of visitors had requested an extension of the exhibition dates. Considering the strong public demand, Maharashtra Rural Development Minister Jaykumar Gore has taken an immediate and significant decision to extend the exhibition till May 17. Initially, the exhibition was scheduled from May 2 to May 14. With this extension, citizens will now get an additional three days to experience Mahalaxmi Saras 2026.

The exhibition has been organised with the objective of providing rural women self-help groups with a larger platform, direct market access for their products, and opportunities for economic empowerment. Thousands of women entrepreneurs are benefiting from this initiative. Handicrafts, traditional food items, homemade products, and several innovative creations made by women entrepreneurs are receiving tremendous appreciation from Mumbaikars.

Since its commencement on May 2, the exhibition has witnessed an enthusiastic response from visitors. In just seven days, the exhibition has recorded a remarkable business turnover of nearly Rs 15 crore, creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere among women self-help groups. The exhibition is also emerging as a major platform to showcase rural culture, traditions, and the talent of women entrepreneurs.

Due to the ongoing holiday period, many citizens were unable to visit the exhibition earlier. As a result, there was a growing demand from visitors to extend the exhibition dates. Taking note of the public demand and the extraordinary response to the event, Rural Development Minister Jaykumar Gore announced the extension decision.

Along with free entry, special complimentary bus services have also been arranged for visitors. As a result, a large number of citizens are visiting Mahalaxmi Saras 2026 every day and extending strong support to products made by women entrepreneurs.
